A BJP corporater here joined Congress today in protest against demonetisation, saying the move has caused a lot of trouble to the common man due to "mismanagement".
Hijam Nutanchandra said at Congress Bhawan here that he left BJP in protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "wrong demonetisation policy" as it is creating a lot of problem to the common people because of "wrong implementation and mismanagement."
Nutanchandra had been elected to Imphal Municipal Corporation in June this year on a BJP ticket.
Manipur PCC president T N Haokip told PTI that he had given his approval to Nutanchandra to join Congress today.
