Senior Jharkhand BJP leader Raghuvar Das today sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention in checking alleged theft of coal in the state.
"I sent a letter to the prime minister requesting his intervention in controlling illegal mining and coal theft in Jharkhand, leading to loss of national resources," Das told reporters quoting from his letter.
"This is happening at a time when the state is going through a severe crisis of electricity," the former deputy chief minister added.
