Top leaders of the BJP in Bihar today called on a number of dignitaries in the state capital as part of the party's ongoing nation-wide outreach programme "Sampark for Samarthan".

The party's national general secretary in-charge for the state Bhupendra Yadav, state unit chief Nityanand Rai and vice-president Devesh Kumar were among those who called on former Lokayukta Justice Ram Nandan Prasad, mathematician Anand Kumar of the Super 30 fame, IPS officer-turned-social and religious activist Acharya Kishore Kunal and academician Shaibal Gupta.

The BJP leaders called on Justice Prasad at his Ashiyana Nagar residence, presented him with a booklet on four years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in power and received his feedback on various issues, including concerns on judicial reforms, a party release said.

This was followed by a visit to Anand Kumar's house in Mithapur locality, where the mathematician - who has been providing free of cost coaching to IIT aspirants from poor backgrounds - shared his thoughts on "education that is inexpensive, of good quality and helps in gaining employment" with the BJP leaders.

Thereafter, the leaders met Acharya Kishore Kunal at the Mahavir Vatsalya charitable hospital founded by him, and shared his thoughts on the vexed Ayodhya issue on which the former police officer has been conducting extensive research.

Lastly, they met Shaibal Gupta - the man behind reputed city-based think tank Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) - with whom the BJP leaders held detailed discussions on the development of Bihar, the release added.
