Goa tourism department's proposal for a rope-way connecting Reis Magos village to Campal ward of Panaji, has met with strong opposition from ruling legislator Michael Lobo who termed it as a mere "eyewash".
"All these proposals about the rope way, sea planes and amphibious vehicles are merely an eye wash. Nothing is going to materialise here.
"Goa tourism is trying to compete internationally, while it should actually concentrate on its own strengths," Lobo told reporters, a day after tourism department approved the rope-way.
