BJP legislators meet RSS leaders for 'guidance' on governance

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagde, over a dozen ministers and BJP legislators today visited the RSS headquarters at Reshimbagh here.

The winter session of state legislature is underway here.

Some 100 BJP legislators from Assembly and Legislative Council trooped to RSS office this morning for 'Margadarshan' (guidance) on good governance from the senior Sangh leaders.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was not in the city. Senior RSS leader Ravindra Joshi and other RSS functionaries interacted with BJP MLAS and MLCs, said Sangh sources.

The RSS leaders told the ministers to lay thrust on education and ensure that textbooks reflected 'real history', and also Sanskrit and Yoga found space in school curriculum, sources said.
 

RSS also sought more focus on tribal areas for improving education facilities, quality of life and curbing malnutrition.

The Sangh leaders asked the government and legislators to ensures implementation of RSS's agenda of 'one temple, one well and one crematorium' for all castes in every village.

Raj Purohit, BJP's chief whip of in Assembly, said almost all party MLAs were present at the meeting.

Ministers Vinod Tawde, Girish Mahajan, Rajkumar Badole, Mahadev Jankar, Pankaja Munde, Vinshnu Sawra and legislators Ashish Shelar, Ram Shinde and Girish Vyas were among those present.
