BJP today filed a complaint with the Chief Election Officer (CEO) alleging that Rajasthan government adopted "corrupt practices" on the eve of the forthcoming Assembly polls by announcing a Sports University at Jhunjhunu.
"The state government had published an advertisement in national dailies on June 19 about setting up a Sports University at Jhunjhunu and appointed a vice chancellor without enacting an act in the Assembly," Janardan Gehlot, a senior BJP leader told reporters here.
Neither any land was earmarked, nor any building identified or constructed at Jhunjhunu for this purpose, he said in his complaint.

"Though the model code of conduct for political parties and candidates is yet to come into force, this act of Rajasthan government is definitely fall under corrupt practices," Gehlot further accused and urged upon the CEO to take appropriate action and restrict the government from issuing such advertisements.
