BJP is likely to come out with its plans, including electoral alliances, in Andhra Pradesh in a week, the saffron party's spokesperson and MP Prakash Javadekar said here today.

"Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are together (in Andhra Pradesh). We are preparing for both. How the scene emerges, we will say in a week," he told reporters.

Asked about the alliances, he said, "We will let you know if something happens."

Speculation has been rife for long about electoral alliance between BJP and TDP for the elections and talks reportedly taking place between them.

However, there is no official word yet from either side on the alliances.

Javadekar said there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among BJP activists and supporters in the country with support growing for the party and leadership of Narendra Modi.

He claimed that Congress is in a state of despair with the writing on the wall, about its imminent defeat at the hustings, becoming clear.

He also referred to the reported comments of Congress leader P C Chacko that the climate is not favourable for his party to buttress his claim.

Elections are scheduled to be held in Telangana on April 30 and on May 7 in Seemandhra. Notifications will be issued on April 2 and April 12 in Telangana and Seemandhra respectively.
