Harcharan Singh Balli, a four-time BJP MLA from Hari Nagar assembly constituency who had been refused party ticket for the December 4 assembly polls, is likely to get a ticket from Congress.

Balli's seat was given to Shiromani Akali Dal under the seat-sharing agreement between the two parties. The Akalis have decided to field BJP councillor Shyam Sharma from the seat.

Balli, who is the only sitting BJP MLA who had not been renominated by BJP, was sulking and held talks with Congress.

He is likely to get the ticket from Congress which put on hold its decision of choosing Surender Kumar Setia for the seat.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said the party would soon decide whether to give Balli a ticket or not.
