A Bihar BJP legislator today lodged a police complaint over blackening of the faces of party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his in posters for the proposed Hoonkar rally, alleging the hand of political rivals.

BJP MLA from Kumhrar, Arun Kumar Sinha registered the complaint with Kadam Kuan police station. Police confirmed receiving complaint from the legislator.

Sinha told PTI that he lodged the complaint after finding that many posters in his constituency for the October 27 'Hoonkar Rally' were torn and in many others his and Narendra Modi's faces had been blackened.

Blaming political rivals for it, he alleged that they were afraid of the rally's success and had resorted to such 'mischievous' activities, showing that they were 'demoralised' by the rising popularity of BJP and Narendra Modi.

BJP workers have put up posters and hoardings here to drum up support for the rally, which would be first political engagement of Narendra Modi in rival Nitish Kumar's home turf.
