The two BJP MLAs arrested in connection with the Muzaffarnagar riots were today produced before the Uttar Pradesh State Advisory Board, which will review their detention under the National Security Act (NSA).
Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana were produced before the board comprising Justice Uma Nath Singh, Justice (retd) Khemkaran and Justice (retd) S N Sahay, which is hearing two cases registered against them under the NSA during Muzaffarnagar riots, official sources said.
The board will send its recommendations to the state government which will then take action after consulting legal experts.
