BJP MP Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, her gunner and four other persons were today injured when their vehicle was hit by a truck in Bakewar area, police said.
The incident took place when Jyoti was on her way to meet the kin of those who were killed by lightning strikes.
The SUV, in which the MP was travelling, hit a tree after the truck rammed it near Majhelegaon village, police said.

The Fatehpur MP, her gunner Rahul and four others were rushed to a nearby hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable. However, the MP was referred to Kanpur for further treatment.
No complaint has been filed by the MP so far, Inspector K K Yadav of Fatehpur police station said.
