BJP's Sunita Duggal Tuesday took a dig at Congress MP Shashi Tharoor as she recalled his "cattle class" remark and said it is this class that brings the members to Parliament.
Tharoor in 2009 had run into trouble for a message that he posted on the social networking site Twitter, in which he had said he would travel 'cattle class' in solidarity with all our 'holy cows.'
At that time Tharoor was the Minister of State for External Affairs.
"It is the cattle class which brings you to Parliament," Duggal said, while participating in the discussion on Union Budget in the Lok Sabha.
Through UDAN scheme, she said, "our government brought" the air connectivity to smaller cities.
Facing an all-round attack for his "cattle class" remark during that time, Tharoor had apologised, saying he meant no disrespect to economy class travellers.
On the economy, Duggal said her government in the last five years has bandaged the wounds that was inflicted during the last 70 years.
She also said ther government will achieve the target of USD 5 trillion economy.
