Taking a dig at AAP, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri today said the party which "is known for the Jan Lokpal movement" has abandoned its mission after coming to power in Delhi.
"AAP is known for Jan Lokpal movement and has always demanded its implementation but after they came to power, Jan Lokpal went missing from the city. It will be better if they can bring it back," Bidhuri said at the foundation-laying ceremony of Phase-II of Indraprastha Institute of Information technology (IIITD) in Okhla Industrial area.
In veiled attack on the performance of the AAP government, Bidhuri said, "When AAP came to power they announced to open 500 schools, but now it has come down to 250 schools as the Chief Minister said that they can achieve 50 per cent. Going by this statistics thirty schools come under one constituency. But I ask him to open just two schools in five years as the areas are dominated by weaker sections," Bidhuri said.

Claiming that South Delhi does not have a single college, Bidhuri demanded opening of three colleges in South Delhi constituency.
"AAP also announced that it would open 20 colleges in the city, which means three colleges in each parliamentary constituency of Delhi. It is shocking that here is no college in South Delhi and no new college was opened in Delhi in the last 20 years.
"I have demanded land from DDA and if Delhi Government will make efforts that I will arrange land from DDA for all the three colleges," he said.
Talking to reporters on the sideline of the function, Bidhuri alleged that AAP came to power misguiding the people of this city.
On the controversy surrounding AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, Bidhuri said, "The party, which came (to power) for security and dignity of women, is now not even ready to protect a woman. They cannot even protect their own party members. It is so unfortunate that the woman is seeking time from Chief Minister, but instead of resolving the issue he trying to target Vishwas so that he can be the single man in the party.
