BJP MPs to attend 'Shakti Kendra' meetings from tomorrow

The BJP today said its members of Parliament will start attending 'Shakti Kendra' meetings in Delhi from tomorrow, as per the directions of party's president Amit Shah.

BJP said the series of meetings will start from tomorrow as the party begins its high-profile preparations for elections in the national capital.

According to a release issued by the party, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said that this series of meetings will give new energy to party workers as this is the first time that the grass roots workers get an opportunity to directly interact with party MPs especially in those Shakti Kendras where senior ministers would go.
 

As per the release, Delhi BJP General Secretary and MP Ramesh Bidhuri said that between December 1 and 20, various MPs will be going to nearly 2,700 Shakti Kendra meetings.

The meetings will take place in the evenings on the working days of the Parliament, while on off days, each MP may go to two to three meetings in a day, he said.

The release said the series of meetings starts tomorrow with MP Giriraj Singh going to Dheerpur in Keshavpuram district, Jagdambika Pal going to south Delhi's Okhla, Ram Charit Nishad and Ravindra Kushwaha going to Inderlok, Vinod Sonkar to Ram Nagar in Chandni Chowk district, Santosh Ahlawat to New Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur while Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti will go to Khayala in west Delhi to interact with party workers.
