Union minister Anand Sharma today criticised BJP for supporting a new concept of "individualism and dictatorship" by projecting a single face in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, and alleged that about Rs 10,000 crore was being spent on Narendra Modi's campaign.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Sharma alleged Modi has been spending Rs 10,000 crore on advertisement on TV channels, newspapers, hoardings, placards, rallies and IT gadgets, and said "BJP should tell the nation whose money it has been using and what is the ratio of black money in it".

Addressing a press meet here, he said any move to individualise and make a person dictator would weaken the democracy and a single man cannot give strength to the nation.

Referring to BJP's claims of 'Modi tsunami', Sharma said, "I rejects BJP's claim of success as there is neither any Modi wave, nor any tsunami... If there is a tidal wave, then it would create devastation, destruction and grief for the people in the country..."

He said Modi was making misleading remarks to tarnish the image of Congress in his election speeches which the Congress had condemned at all level in a polite way.

"The century-old Congress cannot leave its politeness and culture behaviour, whereas Modi has no tolerance power... egoistic, and hate and hardness reflect on his face... No politeness in his voice and thinking...No sweetness in words...Probably no one has seen him smiling...By all means he wants to grab the power... Modi should read history as arrogance or ego of Aurangjeb and Britishers was broken in the past," Sharma said.

Refuting Modi's remarks that Congress brought "pink revolution", Sharma said there was no subsidy on export of meat and the PM candidate was making false statement to incite tension in sensitive places of Bihar and UP.

"There is total ban on cow slaughtering, and meat of buffaloes being exported even in Rajasthan and Gujarat... It was done in previous NDA government. It was most unfortunate that Modi talked of such false and fabricated things in Yadav dominated belt of Bihar and Gujjar dominated area of Uttar Pradesh," he said.

"People should understand Modi's intention when he speak or spoke of pink revolution... His thinking is most unfortunate. He should think for the country... Even former PM A B Vajpayee never made any hurting statement," he said.
