Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav here today slammed both the BJP-led Centre and the state government for not walking its talk on job promises made to youths before elections.

Addressing youths at a Commerce college in the state capital, Yadav said the BJP had promised employment to youths prior to the Lok Sabha as well as Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha polls but did not deliver on it.

In Rajasthan, 15 lakh jobs were promised in five years by the BJP during pre-election rallies but the promise remains unfulfilled even now, he said.

"Situation of the country is bad and youths need to struggle," the Rajya Sabha MP said as he remained critical of the schemes and programmes of the BJP government.

Former president of Rajasthan University students union Pushpendra Singh, among others, was also present on the occasion.
