The "real" faces of Samajwadi Party and BSP have been exposed following the stand taken by them on the issue of FDI in the parliament and they along with the Congress would be taught a lesson by the people in the next Lok Sabha polls, former BJP state chief Surya Pratap Shahi said.
The state government has "betrayed" the farmers and BJP will continue its struggle till a SAP of Rs 400 per quintal is announced, spokesman of the state unit Rajendra Tiwari said during the protest at Kaiserbagh crossing here.
The party also submitted a memorandum addressed to the state Governor B L Joshi.
The state government yesterday announced the SAP, after continued attacks by the opposition parties both in and out of the assembly, fixing it at Rs 290 per quintal for early variety crop, Rs 280 per quintal for normal variety and Rs 275 per quintal for sub standard cane.
