Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi today questioned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's silence over breaking of law by ruling Grand Secular Alliance MLAs and leaders and their supporters.

Sushil Modi in a statement here referred to an incident last night in which supporters of Narendra Kumar Neeraj alias Gopal Mandal, JD(U) MLA from Gopalpur, tried to throw Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) R K Gupta from Vikramshila bridge into Ganga last night when he stopped them for wrong driving which resulted in a jam on the bridge.

He cited the instance of RJD MLA from Barhara, Saroj Yadav threatening an officer in-charge of Charpokhri police station on Tuesday.

Sushil also drew attention to drunk driving by Congress vice president of Bhagalpur district who injured at least 12 people yesterday.

"The CM had assured that there would be no compromise on rule of law during a review meeting on law and order three days back. But his control over own legislators is not seen.

"The CM should answer what will happen to rule of law if muscle flexing by legislators continue like this," the BJP leader said.
