BJP raise din over "fake passport" issue

The BJP today stalled the proceedings of the Jharkhand Assembly in the first half alleging that fake passports had been made in the name of Bangladeshis who allegedly migrated into Sahibganj.

Raising the issue, the BJP legislators stormed the Well of the House raising slogans that Bangladeshis allegedly secured fake passports at Udhwa block in Raj Mahal sub-division of Sahibganj district.

The BJP MLAs also claimed that Raj Mahal sub-divisional officer also seized 57 fake ration cards from a panchayat in the sub division.

As the protest continued, Speaker S S Bhokta adjourned the House around 12.15 AM. The house reconvened at 2 PM.
 

Later, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Prasad Singh told reporters that the government would look into the matter.
