Uttarakhand government today rubbished opposition's charge about its involvement in SIDCUL land scam saying BJP is raising a din over the issue to divert people's attention from the "wrongdoings" committed during its own tenure.
"Bhati commission has submitted its report on one of the scams during previous BJP regime which will soon be laid on the floor of state Assembly. Lest its wrongdoings should be exposed, the party is indulging in diversionary tactics by raising a din over SIDCUL land scam," state Agriculture Minister Harak Singh Rawat told reporters here.
Reacting to disruption of the state assembly by BJP for two consecutive days over the issue, Rawat said it is all part of the party's diversionary tactics to direct people's attention away from the wrongdoings of its own government.
