The BJP today remembered former governor Kailashpati Mishra on his death anniversary, lauding his contribution since his Jan Sangh days.
Paying tributes to Mishra, party's Jharkhand unit president Laxman Gilua said the BJP reached to such heights because of contributions of personalities like Mishra.
Remembering his work in villages of Bihar and Jharkhand since his 'Jan Sangh' days, he in a release said Mishra took party policies and programmes to the villages and also worked in tribal-populated areas.

Gilua said Mishra had always inspired party workers to rise above personal interests and work for the society and the country.
Speaking on the occasion, former chief minister Arjun Munda said Mishra was a great thinker and even today his personality and achievements inspire party workers.
The real tributes to him would be to follow the path set by him.
Party's Jharkhand in-charge, Trivendra Singh Rawat said such great personalities were found rarely.
BJP MP Mahesh Podar also lauded Mishra's contribution.
Several senior party leaders were present on the occasion.
