Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today described Union Minister Giriraj Singh's statements on Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi as "uncultured", saying the BJP rewards people who speak in such language.
"The comments are uncultured and reflects the mindset of the person," Kumar told reporters while coming out of the Assembly and reacting on Giriraj Singh's comments.
"It's clear that BJP rewards people who speak in such language," he said and pointed to astronomical rise of Singh to become Minister of State for MSME at the Centre.
Nitish's reaction came after Singh's comment on Gandhi, questioning whether Congress would have accepted her as a leader had she not been "white-skinned", generating countrywide condemnation.
"It is ample to prove what kind of training has been imparted to such leaders by the party," Kumar said about Nawada Lok Sabha member Giriraj Singh.
Kumar said such assertions were part of BJP leaders' attempts to divert people's attention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's failure to fulfil promises of bringing back black money, increase support price for farmers and accord special category status to poor states like Bihar.
On the Minister's comments on absence of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi during the Budget session, Kumar said "These are personal matters of an individual on which others have no right to speak. It's nothing but low level talk of the Minister.
