The AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) today condemned the attack on the peaceful demonstrators of ACC during the Jammu bandh call and said it was act of 'frustration' by the BJP.

"We condemn the BJP activists' attack on ACC procession during the Jammu bandh today. In a desperate bid to once again disrupt the peaceful Jammu bandh call, the frustrated BJP's activists attacked the peaceful procession of ACC in front of their party headquarters at Kacchi Chawni, here," Chairman ACC and President JKHCBA, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma told reporters here.

He condemned the 'unprovoked attack' on the peaceful demonstrators including women and said that this will prove to be the last nail in the BJP's coffin.

He pointed out that the frustration and desperation of BJP has reached to such a point that they pelted stones on the rally of ACC in which a large number of youth, women and elderly participated.

He further said that the BJP activists even snatched the tear gas guns from some of the police personnel and themselves fired tear gas shells at the rallies.

"As if the repeated lies of BJP were not enough, BJP chose to hoodwink public by distributing ladoos and performing bhangras over what they considered as the defeat of Jammu people and victory of their betrayal," he added.

"They even forgot that yesterday was the day of national mourning and last rites of former President of India were being performed and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was himself very much present at the place of burial," Abhinav Sharma bemoaned and added that the 'frustrated' BJP has even forgotten the basic tenets of humanity.

He asked the people of Jammu to be prepared for a decisive battle with the political establishment hell bent upon imposing a state of slavery on the people of Jammu.

"It is an eye opener for everybody who has any doubt about the unity and determination of the people to see how spontaneously and earnestly the common people of Jammu have participated in today's massive bandh across the region.

"I have no doubt that in the next two days people will observe the bandh more strenuously and in a peaceful manner to give a befitting response to disruptors of the cause of Jammu," he added.
