BJP's Bagde files nomination for Maharashtra Assembly Speaker

Varsha Gaikwad of Congress and Vijay Auti of Sena also filed their papers

BJP's Haribhau Bagde today filed his nomination for the post of Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Bagde, a legislator from Phulambari in Aurangabad was accompanied by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, his cabinet colleagues and Bahujan Vikas Agadhi MLA Hitendra Thakur, his two MLAs, 4 Independent MLAs.

Varsha Gaikwad of Congress and Vijay Auti of Sena also filed their papers.

Gaikwad is MLA from Dharavi, while Auti is a legislator from Parner. The last date of withdrawal is 10 a.m tommorrow.

NCP has already said it will not contest the election.
