Attacking Rahul Gandhi on his remarks on fighting poverty in the country, BJP today said the Congress is saying this on a day when onion and vegetable prices have again shot up.
Deputy leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ravi Shanker Prasad said,"on one hand, the country is looking up at Narendra Modi on his birthday today and on the other, there is a second issue of Rahul Gandhi who says (at a rally in Rajasthan) his party is fighing poverty in the country. But he is saying this on a day when prices of onion and other vegetables have again shot up."
Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi's recent comment in which he said he will make people's dreams his own, Prasad said "does it mean he (Rahul) till now he kept his happiness to himself and was not concerned about people's happiness?"

He said even the ministers of this government have come out with comments in which they say that Narendra Modi has spoken from a symbolic Red Fort and not the real one.
"I want to tell these ministers humbly that the people of the country have decided that the next Prime minister will be Modi and next year, the tricolour will be hoisted at Red Fort by him", claimed Prasad.
Taking a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Prasad said the people of the country as well as Bihar have made their choice.
"There are 40 Lok Sabha seats from Bihar and I want to announce today that JD(U) it will not win more than 5-7 seats in Lok Sabha elections. BJP will get at least 18 seats out of the 40 seats. If there is a change going on in the entire country, why not in Delhi"? said Prasad.
