BJP's minority wing today staged a demonstration in front of Uttar Pardesh Assembly, accusing the Akhilesh Yadav government of making false promises to Muslims.

The demonstration, led by state president of BJP Alpsankhyak Morcha Rumana Siddiqui and senior BJP leader Shiv Pratap Shukla, alleged that the state government has failed to safeguard the life and property of the minorities.

Siddiqui said the SP government which claims to be sympathisers of Muslims has even failed to provide employment opportunities to the youth.

The BJP minority cell demanded modernisation of madarsas, government jobs, pension scheme for destitute women of the community, check on encroachment of waqf land, promotion of local Chikankari industry and financial assistance for the members of minority communities.

Morcha also demanded the state government to make required arrangements for the safety and security of women in the state.

Meanwhile, BJP Kisan Morcha today announced to hold a demonstration in front of Assembly tomorrow to protest the alleged anti-farmer policies of the Akhilesh Yadav government.

The agitation would be led by BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai and state president of the Kisan Morcha Vijaypal Singh Tomar, it said.
