Mocking the elevation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as BJP's campaign committee head for 2014 elections, apparently to the chagrin of patriarch L K Advani, Congress today said that BJP's national executive meeting was akin to a "saas-bahu" daily soap.
"Entire country witnessed the wide differences within the BJP...The situation during party's national executive committee in Goa was similar to that of a saas-bahu television soap," Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Subhash Shirodkar told reporters while referring to the reservations from Advani and some other leaders to Modi's anointment.
He said that BJP was "nervous" about the 2014 general elections unlike Congress which is sure of its victory.
