As soon as the proceedings started, opposition BJP MLAs raised the issue of a local court order pertaining to alleged graft in CWG projects and demanded that Dikshit step down claiming she has lost moral authority to continue in office.
V K Malhotra, the Leader of the Opposition, said the court order shows that there is ground for investigations into Dikshit's alleged involvement in CWG corruption.
Congress MLAs vociferously protested against the allegation.
BJP members shouted slogans which prompted Speaker Yoganand Shastri to adjourn the House for 30 minutes. When the House re-assembled, the situation was the same and the Speaker had to adjourn it again for another 15 minutes.
Ruling Congress on its part rejected the demand for Dikshit's resignation.
