While announcing the result of BJP state organisational election here, party sources said earlier nobody could get re-elected for a second term but an amendment in the party constitution approved by the National Council on September 28 at Faridabad allowed for this.
Later, Sinha accused the Congress of following policies that were always against common people.
The present hike in prices of essential commodities, petroleum products and gas had badly affected most of the people, he said.
"Congress stands for corruption and it is trying to divert people's attention from scams one after another with the decisions like hike in prices of petroleum products and FDI in retail etc", Sinha alleged.
He called upon the people to fight against the Congress, Communist parties and Trinamool Congress helping to bring the BJP in power in the state.
BJP leader Sushma Swaraj would address a rally here on November 30, Sinha added.
Welcoming the BJP state president, party central observer in West Bengal Chandan Mitra expressed hope that under his able leadership their party would soon emerge as the biggest opposition in the state.
