A three-member BJP team to inquire into the murder of party's Tamil Nadu unit general secretary V Ramesh in Salem in July today submitted its report and demanded that the case be tried in a fast track court and suspected terror angle in the matter be probed.
BJP spokesperson and MP Prakash Javadekar, who headed the inquiry panel appointed by party president Rajnath Singh, said policy failure on the part of the Congress-led Central government has led to proliferation of home-grown terror in the country.
The team, which had BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman and MP Ananth Kumar Hegde as the other two members, suspects the hand of such a terror group behind the brutal killing of Ramesh. He was killed on the night of July 19 in Salem.

The party feels there is possibility of a terror angle in the murder and this needs to be probed.
"There is a larger conspiracy here. There is a method and a lot of similarities in all the attacks on nationalist leaders in Tamil Nadu," Javadekar said.
