The state BJP suspended BJP Women Wing's state executive member Vandana Dwivedi after she was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with her alleged involvement in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) recruitment scam.

She was sent to jail under judicial custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Pankaj Singh Maheshwari yesterday.

The STF, probing the scam, arrested Dwivedi from her residence on Thursday on charges of allegedly getting passed a Rewa-based woman in the Contractual Teacher Grade-II examination with the help of MPPEB's Programmer C K Mishra, a STF official said.

Mishra is already in jail in connection with the scam along with other officials.

Taking the issue seriously, State BJP President, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan suspended her from the party, an official release said.

Mishra named her during questioning following which she was arrested by STF after collecting evidences against her, the officer added.
