BJP takes out rally against 'worsening law and order', 'rise

The West Bengal BJP on Friday took out a rally in the city against the "worsening law-and- order situation" and the "rise in incidents of rape" in the state.

The rally, which commenced from Nandan area - the city's cultural hub - was led by West Bengal BJP Mahila Morcha president and MP Locket Chatterjee and the party's general secretary Raju Banerjee.

With posters and placards in hand, the activists shouted slogans against the state government.

The rally is set to take a round of the Birla Planetarium, around a kilometre away, before returning to Nandan.
