A three-member BJP central team, led by its general secretary and former MP Saroj Pandey, reached Odisha for an on-the spot inquiry into the alleged gang rape and suicide of a minor girl in Koraput district.
The minor girl was allegedly raped by four men in uniform on October 10 last year. The victim committed suicide on January 22.
Pandey said the team will soon submit its report to BJP national president Amit Shah. The team will meet the family members of the victim and interact with the locals.
The other members of the panel are Jyoti Dhrube, MP, and the party's national general secretary and MP, Anju Bala.
