The BJP today termed Samajwadi Party's state convention as a "flop" show and said the grief of defeat in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections was clearly evident during party's event yesterday.

Uttar Pradesh BJP spokesperson Manoj Mishra said the SP has been a victim of internal bickering and can be described as a party of collision and confusion.

"It is not a political party, but gives an idea that it is a political family. It has nothing to do with socialism," Mishra said.

The SP had organised its state convention yesterday in Lucknow, in which party president Akhilesh Yadav had criticised BJP governments in Uttar Pradesh and at the Centre over several issues.

Mishra today said the convention was a "flop" show and SP's grief of the defeat in the UP Assembly elections was clearly evident during the event.

"Merely opposing BJP will not suffice. The SP has to introspect," he said.
