BJP would win more seats during this month's Madhya Pradesh assembly elections than it won in 2003, party spokesman Prakash Javdekar claimed here today.

"There are a number of reasons why I am confident that the BJP will win more seats than expected," the BJP spokesman told reporters here today at a press conference.

Javdekar said that the Congress is in complete disarray, adding that the common man is angry with it since prices of everything had risen though the purchasing power of the rupee had fallen.

Answering queries, he said that during every election, some sitting MLAs are not given tickets and nothing much should be read into it.

Javdekar said that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would address election meetings in Madhya Pradesh, though he said that dates have not yet been finalised.
