The by-poll was necessitated as CPI(M) MLA K K Ramachandran Nair who won the Chengannur in 2016 polls, passed away in January 2017.
"The BJP and NDA have a strong presence in Chengannur and we will win the by-poll," Rajasekharan said.
The NDA would work out an action plan for the by-poll, he said.
Slamming the CPI(M) led LDF government in the state, Rajasekharan alleged that political killing has become a daily affair in the state.
The government was trying to 'sabotage' corruption cases to save the corrupt, he added.
Thushar Vellapally, President of BDJS, the second key partner in the NDA in Kerala, was among those who took part in the meeting.
