Even as Congress and NCP have forged an alliance for upcoming elections to Palghar and Thane Zilla Parishads, BJP today said it will tie up with Shiv Sena for sure soon.
"We are sure of sweeping the upcoming ZP polls. I don't think either of our opponents (Congress and NCP) stands a chance against us. BJP will have an alliance with Shiv Sena. If it doesn't happen now, it is bound to happen later," BJP MLA Vishnu Savara, who represents Vikramgadh seat in neighbouring Palghar district, told reporters here.
He said BJP has asked its local leaders to finalise intricacies of the proposed alliance.

Meanwhile, a BJP leader said on the condition of anonymity that Congress leader and former minister Rajendra Gavit is in talks with BJP to switch over ahead of polls.
"(Rajendra) Gavit is in talks with our party as he seems to be dissatisfied with the Congress leadership. But the moot question is whether our party is ready to induct him," he said.
Gavit had lost 2013 state Assembly elections from Palghar by a slender margin.
Congress, which is still smarting under the double- whammy of defeat in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, has lost many of its office-bearers to BJP.
