The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh will keep a strict vigil on the functioning of the Congress government in the state, especially the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and flagship programmes along with other important public utility schemes.

A meeting of the party convened here yesterday decided to constitute a state level working group in this regard, party's spokesman Techi Necha said today.

The group which would perform as the "shadow cabinet', will also coordinate and liaison with the central ministries for various developmental projects in the state, he disclosed.

All MLAs and party leaders, including state office bearers attended the meeting.

The meeting also reviewed the party organization and Rajya Sabha poll held recently.

Addressing the meeting, BJP state president Tai Tagak advised the legislators and other party leaders to uphold the basic party principles and maintain discipline in discharging their duties, Necha said.
