"We will launch a "Jail Bharo Aandolan" to press for smooth power supply to the Jammu region which is facing major power and water crises since the government shifted its capital city to Srinagar in Kashmir", BJP MLA and former state President Ashok Khajuria told reporters here.

He said that there are major power cuts and shortage of water supply in the region, but government has paying a deaf ear to the protests and demonstrations by people over the issue.

Led by Khajuria, over 400 activists of BJP today braved extreme heat and took out a protest rally at the Parade Ground area of Jammu city to protest against the government.

Raising anti-government slogans, the protestors had a minor clash with the police.
