Beginning from Ganga Sagar, the yatra will pass through five states along the river to spread awareness about the river's condition.
The yatra will conclude on October 28.
"The yatra, which will start from September 21, will be in Uttar Pradesh between October 9 to October 22," BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said here.
An international level seminar would also be organised on December 2, Hussain said here.
"To make parliamentarian aware on the issue, water of Ganga was sent to 700 MPs including President Pranab Mukherjee," he said.
Hussain said that the save Ganga campaign was apolitical and everyone should support it.
