The BJP will celebrate its impressive show in the Odisha and Maharashtra civic polls as 'vijay utsav' (victory celebration) on February 25 across all its district offices in the country.
Its president Amit Shah made the decision today following the declaration of Maharashtra results where it has achieved "unprecedented success", its national secretary Shrikant Sharma said.
Shah also congratulated Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and state unit chief Raosaheb Patil Danve over the results.
"I express heartfelt greetings to the people of Maharashtra for expressing their faith in the BJP's development and 'sabka saath sabka vikas' (with all, for everybody's development) ideology," he said in a tweet.
