The BJP will stage a demonstration in front of the Vidhan Sabha here next month to highlight problems related to farmers, party's UP chief Laxi Kant Bajpai said today.
The demonstration, to be held in the first week of May, will be led by BJP national president Rajnath Singh, he told reporters here.
The main objective of the exercise is to highlight the problems confronting farmers, Bajpai said.
Demonstrations will be also be held in all districts to protest "delay" in payment of dues to farmers, he said.
The dates for the protests will be decided by the local units, Bajpai said.
To identify probable candidates for upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the party has constituted 16 teams for taking feedback from workers, he said.
There is a possibility that Lok Sabha may be dissolved by May, Bajpai said adding his party is ready for the polls whether these are held this year or in 2014.
