The BJP today trashed as "prejudiced and baseless" the UN report on the alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.

BJP spokesperson Abil Baluni said the allegation of human rights violations against India is "incomprehensible" and that the only issue about the valley is the violence caused by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

"The BJP completely rejects the report. It is baseless and prejudiced," he said in a statement.

Party General Secretary Ram Madhav said the UN report seems to have been prepared by "some juveniles", who don't know the intricacies of the problem.

"We reject this report," he said.

In Indian culture, even trees and water are conserved. So the charge of human rights violation against our country is absolutely ridiculous and incomprehensible, Baluni said.

In the report released today, the UN talked about alleged human rights violations in both "Indian-administered and Pakistan-administered Kashmir" and sought an international inquiry into these abuses.
