"BJP leaders have been rattled with the increase in chances of ministers of the states ruled by the party being indicted in the coal blocs allocation issue after investigations by the CBI and Inter-Ministerial Group (IMG).

"They are hatching a conspiracy to save their ministers. This is why they are demanding that the licenses to the allocated coal blocs be cancelled," Jaiswal alleged here.

While accusing the Opposition party of trying to muddy the "immaculate" record of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by demanding his resignation, he claimed, "The PM favoured a bidding process, but this was protested by state governments."

"Now, they are feeling cornered and are raising such hue and cry," he alleged.

The BJP was trying to shift attention from how it held the Parliament "captive" and did not let bills related to the welfare of the people pass, he claimed.

He also accused the party of "spreading rumours" and said it was "betraying" the people by not letting Parliament to function properly.

Both the CBI and IMG were looking into minute details related to the allocations, since it will be the basis on which future decisions are taken, so that no error is made.

On his relations with a certain Jaiswal family being questioned in a section of the media, he said the event was also attended by BJP leaders like L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari.

He condemned BJP's demonstration in front of Mahatama Gandhi's statue in Parliament House complex today as well.
