Even as BJP suffered a blow in the Karnataka elections, the party continued insisting on the resignation of both Prime Minister and Union Law Minister.

"After the Supreme Court's observation today, Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) and Law Minister (Ashwani Kumar) have no right to continue on their posts," BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters on the sidelines of a function organised by Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) here today.

"Whom does the Law Minister want to save? Prime Minister, Joint Secretary of the PMO and the entire Law Ministry, which means the entire government, was trying to feed the CBI like a parrot. This has has been observed by the Supreme Court," Hussain said.

"BJP raised its voice in the Parliament, that you tender resignation and then run the Parliament, but they didn't do it.

"Now the Prime Minister and the Law Minister should resign, because after the Supreme Court's observations, they don't have any right to continue in their offices," he said.
