Taking strong exception to dissident candidates using BJP flag and banners during the ongoing panchayat elections, state party president Laxmikant Bajpai today asked them stop this or face consequences.

Legal action would be taken against them they if they use BJP flag, banners etc in the ongoing pachayat elections, Vajpai said.

"They have been expelled from the party and even their primary membership has been cancelled," he said.

"A vote to dissidents would be considered a vote against BJP," he said targeting prospective voters.

BJP Mathura District President of Dr D P Goel declared three dissidents have been expelled from the party and their membership cancelled.

He was also critical of the manner in which procession of the saints in Varanasi was handled recently.

"Every lathi used in Varanasi on the saints would prove last nail in the coffin of SP government," he stated.

He criticised the SP government for its alleged misrule.

"The way there is long queue for BJP ticket in panchayat elections in Etawah and Mainpuri, the two fortress of SP, it is clear people are fed up with SP government and they eagerly are awaiting for a change," he claimed.

Vajpai also termed as "baseless" allegations that the BJP district president Goel took money for distributing ticket in ongoing panchayat election.
