The BJP's Jharkhand unit today welcomed Union Energy Minister Piyush Goyal's announcement that electricity would reach to all the villages in Jharkhand.
"There is a total focus on villages and electricity by the state and the Central governments," BJP spokesman Pratul Shahdeo said in a statement here.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has already said the rest of the villages in the state would be electrified by 2019, Shahdeo said, adding the state government's current budget is also focused on the rural sector.

The electrification work would be completed in the remaining 3,992 villages by October this year which will pave the way for giving all households in the country access to power by May 1, 2018, Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal had yesterday.
While addressing a press conference on rural electrification, Goyal had said the government will electrify the remaining villages by October this year so that all households get electricity by May 1, 2018.
