BJP today asserted that once voted to power at Centre, NDA government would look into the welfare of the minority communities such as Christians and Muslims.

Talking to media-persons here yesterday, National BJP vice-president for Scheduled Tribe Morcha, Johny G Rengma said, "If voted to power, BJP will look into the welfare of the minority communities like Christians and Muslims in the country."

Johnny, who returned home after a long period of campaigning for the party candidates in the tribal dominated states from March 21 to April 18, hoped that BJP would win over 240 seats.

He however said even if BJP alone manages to win the magic figure, but still it would form the government along with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners.

He also asserted that BJP will take special initiatives for the development of North-East.
