Congress leader and former union minister Tariq Anwar Monday said that BJP will never build Ram Temple at Ayodhya as it is its "poll stunt" on the basis of which it garners votes.
"BJP will never construct Ram Temple at Ayodhya as it is its poll stunt. BJP tries to garner votes in the name of Hindutva in every election," Anwar told reporters here.
BJP has completely failed to fulfill the promises it made to the people during last election and hence it was trying to allure people in the name of Ram Temple.
Anwar had resigned from the membership of both Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party and Lok Sabha in September last year and returned to Congress after a gap of 19 years.
He had quit the Congress along with Sharad Pawar and the late P A Sangma over the issue of foreign origin of Sonia Gandhi.
Stating that there is full unity in Grand Alliance, Anwar said that the seat-sharing among Grand Alliance is not at all an issue as their agenda is clear to stop BJP from coming back to power at the centre.
