Having lost the recent bypolls to the Alwar and Ajmer Lok Sabha and the Mandalgarh Assembly seats, Rajasthan BJP chief Ashok Parmani today said the party would win the state elections with a thumping majority.

The BJP will retain power in Rajasthan in the state elections due later this year and win over 180 seats in the 200-member assembly, he told reporters after an organisational meeting at the party's office here.

He alleged that Congress leaders were making misleading statements with incorrect figures.

The party will achieve the target of 180 plus seats due to hard work of BJP workers and the developmental and welfare schemes of the Centre and the state, Parmani said.

BJP national general secretary V Satish said that party workers were the backbone and they remain active throughout the year.
